How It Works in 3 Steps

Step 1: Reach Out. Call, email, or send the contact form, and tell us as much or as little as you want. You don't need to have your history organized, you don't need a diagnosis, and you don't need to be sure therapy is the right move. We reply within one business day. If you'd rather not talk on the phone, say so and we'll handle everything over email.

Step 2: Have a Free Consultation. We'll schedule a 15-minute phone or video call at no charge so you can say what's going on and hear how we'd approach it. This is a two-way conversation, not an intake. Ask us anything — how we work, what sessions cost, whether you should be looking at individual, couples, family, or sex therapy, whether we've worked with what you're bringing us. At the end of the call, if it feels right, we'll get you on the schedule.

Step 3: Start Meeting. Your first full session is a real session, not an assessment you have to pass. We'll spend it understanding what you want to be different and agreeing on how we'll work together (i.e., how often, for how long, and what progress will actually look like). From there we meet weekly or every other week, at the same time each week so it stays protected. We check in on the plan periodically, because therapy should change as you do.

Two Office Locations

Our Newtown office sits in the borough of Bucks County, a few blocks off State Street, and it's built for people who want to park once, walk in, and skip the city entirely. It's the easier location for families, for after-school and early-evening appointments, and for anyone coming from Doylestown, Yardley, Langhorne, or Richboro.

Our Old City office in Philadelphia is a short walk from the 8th & Market and 2nd Street transit stops, which makes it the practical pick for Center City commuters, students, and clients coming from Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Queen Village, and South Philly who would rather take SEPTA than drive. Although there is ample street parking and lots nearby.

Let’s have a candid conversation.

Fees & Insurance

We're an out-of-network practice. Our standard rate is $175 for a 50-minute session, with longer sessions available. We are an out-of-network, private-pay practice, which means we don't bill insurance directly and you aren't limited to the clinicians your plan happens to contract with.

Most people's first question is why. The short answer is that when insurance pays, insurance decides; how many sessions you get, what diagnosis goes in your permanent medical record, and whether a reviewer who has never met you approves the plan. It also routinely excludes couples, family, and sex therapy, because those don't fit a diagnosis-based model. Working outside it lets us keep the decisions with you and your therapist, run full-length sessions, and treat relationship and sexual concerns without pathologizing anyone.

Many plans will reimburse part of what you pay us. We can give you a monthly superbill (an itemized statement with the codes and license information your insurer needs) and you submit it yourself. Your sessions are also HSA- and FSA-eligible, so you can pay with pre-tax dollars, and under the No Surprises Act we provide a written Good Faith Estimate before you begin, so the cost is never a surprise.

Cost is a real barrier for many people; we hold a limited number of reduced-fee slots and if money is the thing standing between you and a first call, tell us and we'll do what we can to work with you.
