  • Lauren does not believe in asking you "how does that make you feel" each time you share something. The space should enable you to express your authentic self and be productive towards your goals.

She wants you to share your goals and objectives so that together you can craft a plan for how to achieve them most effectively and efficiently. She operates within a trauma-informed psychodynamic and systemic therapy lens, drawing upon cognitive behavioral techniques when needed. This means that she will be interested in learning about how you grew up, what your childhood was like, what your relationships are like (family, friends, partners, etc.), exploring how you think and feel, among other things.

Lauren believes that recognizing difficulties in your life is one of the first steps towards growth and change, but understanding why the difficulty is occurring in the first place brings your awareness and level of control to a whole other level.

  • When she is not busy petting animals, you can find her sipping bubble tea (there's a great place next door to her office), staying active, baking something chocolatey and sweet, or tending to her one-too-many plants.

In sessions, she will most likely be sipping on tea the entire time - hot or iced.
